Everyone knows waht happens when you handle small electronics.they fall and eventually break. Purchased this case when I got the Nuvi200 as a gift. This case covers the unit, offers excellent bump/drop protection and still allows access to all the ports. This is my second speck case, the first one is on my iPod. In addition to using this GPS while driving I planned on using this outside my vehicle. My Nuvi has taken at least 3 drops from standing height, still works perfectly and has no scratches. This case will protect your investment.
Thats a waste of my time. The protective screen is also helpful against scratches and fingerprints. Yes, the toughskin protects your garmin from bumps and bruises. So, I returned the product for a full refund. What I did'nt like is that I could not plug my charger into the back with the toughskin & clip on. I'm not going to take the toughskin off every time I charge it. My advice is to use a small purse, bag or camera case. Its alot cheaper, especially considering the times.
Somebody in QC needs to pay more attention, though (or redesign it). But there's no way I could return it now.
The clip fit onto my Nuvi 260 with the skin on, and the window mount fit that too (Speck claim it fits the 260 on their website, although Amazon's site doesn't reflect that). Perfect.But then I tried to plug in a USB cable to the USB port.
Opened it up, put it on - fits great. I didn't see a single other review that mentions this.After about an hour with a file and utility knife, it all fits.
Nothing lined up, so I had to remove the skin every time I wanted to connect to the computer, or recharge the unit. Is mine the only one like this.
I wound up shaving about 1/4" from the opening for the USB port to make it fit.Otherwise, though, a decent product. It would be a simple fix for them, but requires a little time and patience for me to do.
The cover fits nicely on my 265T, all ports/openings are fully accessible. It is stuck on the unit in a one-shot-only awkward process. The cover has a nice sturdy thick rubbery feel. However, the screen protector is about 1mm too small in each direction for the 265T/275T. Additionally, despite the claim, the car mount for the 265T/275T cannot be used with this case on the unit.The compatibility with the car mount and other accessories such as the bike mount, are the primary reason I chose this case. If you want to use the case with anything other than the included belt holder, you need to pass on this item.
Design also provides protection against inadvertent tuning on of the unit. This is a quality custom fit rubber protection case. I am confident it would prevent case damage if dropped. All the external ports, controls and mounting points remain totally accessible. No need to remove the case to use all functions of the unit. Unit still fits in the Case Logic AGPS-2 3.5" case even with the Speck Toughskin on it which shows how snug the Speck Toughskin fits. Well worth the price.
